STORY: In the summer of 2022, Two Vintners welcomed two new members to the production team – Joe Thornley (Assistant Winemaker) and Jarad Bivins (Cellar Manager). Although this was their first harvest working together as a team, Morgan challenged Joe and Jarad to make a wine on their own. This unique blend of Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah was co-fermented together before aging in neutral oak. The project also includes a single barrel of extended maceration where the grapes remained on their skins for 4 months before being pressed off.
As the team has worked together over time, they adopted the nickname “Wolfpack” that speaks volumes on how they have continued to grow as a family. Dire Wolf pays homage to the trust and support of this team. Like the wolf, this wine is a blend of grace and elegance with a bit of a bite that invites you into “the pack.”
